When: Displayed throughout the Show, items can be collected at the end of Show day on Friday.

Prizes: Prize cards will be awarded to entries placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and two special awards within each class.
Trophies: The overall winning school with the highest number of total points will be awarded with the Perress Family School Art Cup.
Each entry will receive a complimentary ticket to attend the HB A&P Show.
School classes are invited to submit their Creative and Digital artworks into the Schools Art Competition. Anything from paintings, collages, photographs, drawings, graphic designs and more are welcomed. Artworks will be displayed throughout the Show within the relevant entrant age group with Prize Cards displayed. You are very welcome to enter individually rather than through your school.
Registrations will be open online from 1st August 2026.
Entries must be delivered to the Exhibition Hall at the Tomoana Showgrounds (Gate 2, Kenilworth Road) between 10am-4pm on Monday the 12th of October 2026. Outside of this time, by arrangement only. Late Entries will not be accepted. Judging will take place between the 12th and week of the Show.

1. This is a competition for student effort - please respect this condition
2. Only 1 entry per child per competition class
3. Late entries will not be accepted
4. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
5. Each artwork received for judging must have the entrant's School, name, age group and class entered clearly attached to the front of the artwork and have velcro hooks attached in each corner.
6. Entries to be no larger than A3 sized paper (framing is welcome)
7. Any entries that do not hang on a wall, please note in the "Artwork Description" field above and place in an appropriate box with the entrant details clearly displayed, not in a bag.
8. All entries must be delivered to the Exhibition Hall at Tomoana Showgrounds between 10am-4pm on Monday the12th of October. Outside of this time, by arrangement only. Late entries will not be accepted. Judging will take place the week of the 12th of October.
9. Entries can only be entered once. Items must not have been entered into a previous Schools Art Competition for the Hawke's Bay A&P Show.
10. If all artwork can be collected after 4pm on Friday at the show. Entries will not be returned by the Hawke's Bay A&P Society, items can be collected the following week of the show from Foodeast 4 Hanui Road, Tomoana, Hastings. Items not collected by the 31st of October will be disposed of.
11. If for any reason the Hawke's Bay A&P Show must take a different form, judging maybe be reliant on photos.
