The society proudly promotes and celebrates our world-class primary sector by developing events and initiatives that strengthen the Hawke’s Bay community. We believe supporting and developing talent in Hawke’s Bay is essential to the continued success of our region.
For more than 160 years, we’ve promoted agricultural, pastoral, horticultural, viticulture and forestry resources through various channels. These include society-owned events The Hawke's A&P Show, National Horticultural Field Days, Hawke’s Bay A&P Bayleys Wine Awards and the Napier Port Hawke’s Bay Primary Sector Awards.
With all that has been happening in our region post Cyclone Gabrielle in 2023, there are groups and initiatives providing support for the men of households living in rural communities, but in many cases the women continue to be the glue that keeps the family together, smiling through it all.
‘Bloom’ is an initiative is to provide a platform for rural Women’s Wellness, we will work with various organisations to provide a pampering restorative experience with a holistic approach to wrap ‘care’ around the women that need it most, so they can keep doing what they are doing to help communities recover, with a new found spring in their step.
Bloom will be ongoing, with the pilot events being held in September.
Attendance at these events will be by invitation following referrals through industry partners and organisations. The Society welcomes donations or involvement, please send through any queries to admin@hbap.co.nz.
